Elcon Precision continues to monitor the highly fluid situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in the Bay Area and all of North America. The health, safety, and well-being of our customers, employees, suppliers, and local communities are our top priority. As we navigate this rapidly changing situation, please be aware that Elcon Precision is working hard and taking extra precautions to maintain a stable business environment while we remain open for business through these uncertain circumstances.
The top management of Elcon, in conjunction with our owner group, is closely following the situation, defining internal protocols and assisting in our ability to respond quickly to the rapidly changing conditions. To help contain and prevent the spread of the virus we have restricted business travel for all of our personnel for at least the next two weeks. There is a good possibility this could be extended, but inside and outside sales people all remain available and accessible via phone, email and web meetings. In addition to the work from home policy for all personnel that are not needed at the plant, we have daily communication with our employees and are sharing and reinforcing best practices for the health and safety of everyone. Our manufacturing staff is following strict hygiene and safety protocols and we are committed to stopping the spread of the virus. We are limiting visitors to our facility to only those who are necessary for our operations, namely shipping, receiving and critical suppliers. All internal meetings are held in the largest rooms possible to maintain social distancing.
In terms of our operations, we will continue to manufacture during our normal business hours, with no diminution of quality. Shipments will remain as scheduled and delivery of your Elcon products can be expected as usual. We have experienced some supply disruptions and we are looking at all options to mitigate their effect on production. These include stressing the importance of maintaining the supply chain to our most critical suppliers, looking for alternate suppliers within the US in areas less impacted than our region and scheduling production to make the best use of our inventory.
